Jesus Wasn’t A Christian

A Chrisian by definition is a believer in Jesus Christ and his teachings. Jesus was a man who spread the word of God. Regardless if you believe he was the son of God or not, he was a mortal man who did great things. Jesus was the first to tell people that he was no better than anyone else, but of course I know this not to be true. He was better. Better because he held no judgement and better because he was without sin. But also better because he loved. He loved everyone. Everyone. Now, I’m not going to debate religious beliefs with anyone. I am a believer in Christ but I’m going to leave the bible out of it because this is not about religion. This is about humanity. Jesus stood for something. He stood for love and equality. He stood for compassion and non judgement. He helped those less fortunate. Jesus was not a rich person, but he still reached out to the sick and the poor. He might not “believe” what people were doing was right but he loved and prayed for them anyway, including the very people who crucified him. He did not persecute them. Whether you are a Christian or not, you can learn from Jesus. Imagine a world if we were all like him, with our own genders, our own ethnicity, our own beliefs united under one love. Yes, I want to be like Jesus. I want to love everyone.
